Ingredient Deep Dive:

It features Panthenol which a readily available source of provitamin B-5. Provitamin B-5 binds the hair follicles and coats to seal in moisture. This is great for preventing dry hair and scalp due to heat styling. It builds a very thin layer of moisture along the surface of the hair to add shine, softness and pliability without added oils or greasiness. It is touted as a "volumizer" because its been shown to lift the hair and add fullness.

It also features hydrolyzed (meaning small) Baobab protein to maintain moisture balance and strengthen the hair. The Boabab tree is an iconic African tree called the "tree of life" due to its ability to store large amounts of water and withstand the harsh climate. Individual trees can live more than 2,000 years. Ancient folklore suggests that water infused with baobab seeds gives strength, good health, and good fortune. For your hair, Baobab protein provides anti-aging benefits including damage recovery and protection, nourishment, as well as strengthening and conditioning effects. It protects hair from becoming damaged through UV-exposure, heat, pollution, and stress.

There is also Hydrolyzed (small) Barley Protein in our heat protectant. It Increases hair strength and defends against heat damage by providing complete thermal protection. Barley has high proline content, known for strong antioxidant properties.

We included Propanediol, a naturally-derived humectant that doesn't leave a sticky after-feel the way other humectants, such as glycerin, can. It comes from starch and protects the hair from heat by maintaining moisture balance within the strands.
